I performed in the site-specific multimedia production “Way to/Шлях до…” directed by Vlad Troitsky, which premiered at Ukrainian House. Created to mark the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, the project became not only a powerful theatrical event, but also part of a wider exploration into how performance can inhabit and transform public space.
The work brought together an interdisciplinary team of artists working at the intersection of theatre, music, dance, and visual art. It combined contemporary choreography by Kristina Shyshkaryova (Totem Dance Theatre), original music by Yana Shlyabanska, live vocal performance by Nova Opera, and fragments of poetry by Taras Shevchenko.
The performance unfolded within a large-scale 360° multimedia installation designed by Maria Volkova, transforming the 25-metre atrium into an immersive environment where movement, sound, and image continuously interacted.
For me, this project was an exploration of presence, memory, and collective identity—an experience of performing within a living, shifting space where the boundaries between audience and performer dissolve.
You are welcome to watch the performance here.
