I performed the duet “Two in the Box / Двоє в коробці” together with Denis Protsyshyn at the International Festival of Modern Choreography in Vitebsk (2018).
The work, choreographed by Volodymyr Grek, was presented as part of Dance Theater “Grin” of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (Kyiv).
The piece explored the experience of a toxic relationship—how two people navigate emotional tension, misunderstanding, and confinement within a shared space. Within the couple, one presence continuously dominates while the other yields, creating an ongoing imbalance of power. Through the duet, I had the opportunity to express a wide range of emotions in direct physical dialogue with my partner, embodying both the intensity of closeness and the struggle of being “inside the box” together—both literally and metaphorically.
